As the name suggests, game meat plays a big role. We will now explain everything about the burger kit.

This is what's in the Jäger-Burger-Kit

When it comes to wild burgers, our burger kit is just the thing for you. The kit contains everything you need to put the burger together. There is also a video tutorial here . This makes it easy to follow the recipe and the preparation is very simple. The burger kit contains:

1x pretzel bun

1x venison patty (180g)

1x slice of Brie

1x bacon

1x cranberry chutney

There are big differences, especially with game . Wild boar meat tastes completely different to that of deer or venison. The texture is also not the same. We opt for venison patties and add beef tallow for the perfect consistency. The patty weighs 180 grams. The sauce is a cranberry chutney (fried with onions). And for the buns, we choose pretzel rolls. Brie is an excellent cheese for the hunter's burger and rounds the whole thing off nicely.

How to make the Jäger-Burger

You can easily prepare the wild burger in a pan or on the grill. You can find our video here . You don't need to season the burger patty (or burger patties ) with salt and pepper. You just need to prepare it. Our basic recipe for the patty is already balanced and the minced meat is already prepared for you, so you don't need to knead it vigorously.

Jäger Burger in the pan

To prepare in a pan, it's best to start with the bacon . You don't need to cut it into cubes; use whole slices. You can skip using clarified butter, butter or oil and fry the bacon slowly over a medium heat. Use a cast iron pan as this retains the heat better. Don't fry the bacon until it's crispy; take it out of the pan first. Then place your burger patties in the pan and fry them for three to five minutes on each side. This will give you the desired degree of doneness. As soon as you've turned the patty for the first time, place the bacon on the patty and put a lid on the pan. Wait two minutes, then take your slice of Brie and place it over the bacon . Let the bacon melt for a minute with the lid closed. This will make your meat juicy and the bacon crispy at the same time.

During this time you can prepare your bun . Cut your bun in half and fry both sides in the fat left over from the bacon . If you don't have any fat left, spread butter on the halves and fry them briefly in the pan.

Now you can top your burger with the patty and drizzle the cranberry chutney over it.

Jäger Burger in the Grill

You can cook the bacon and the burger patties at the same time on the grill. Don't fry the bacon too much. Feel free to use indirect heat if you're not sure. Generally speaking, fry the bacon lightly and grill the venison patties for three to five minutes on each side. This way you can reach your desired core temperature even without a measuring device. After turning the patty for the first time, place the bacon on top and wait two minutes. Then place your slice of Brie over the bacon and leave it on the grill for another minute.

In the meantime, you can take care of your bun . First, halve your bun . Now you can spread butter on both halves and grill them briefly (cut side down) until crispy. Then take your patty off the grill. Your barbecue is now ready and you can top your burger: Put your patty in your bun and drizzle it with the cranberry chutney.

Here you can watch the video tutorial for the Jäger Burger - this will guarantee that you will succeed in preparing it.

This goes perfectly with the Jäger Burger

The burger kit for our hunter burger is a basic version. There are no limits to how you can refine the burger. Feel free to add ingredients such as lettuce, red cabbage and tomatoes and top your burger with them. You can of course also cut the burger buns open and try them with chives and quark. We just advise against adding cranberry jam to the hunter burger . Our chutney is already very fruity and delicious.

Let your imagination run wild and use grilled pear for the burger. Seasonal products are also ideal for this. A red cabbage salad seasoned with cinnamon is always a good choice. As you can see, a burger like this is very versatile. Here is the video tutorial for the Jäger Burger , have you tried it yet?
