Dolma | Stuffed peppers with minced meat

Dolma is a popular dish from Turkish cuisine and is part of classic Turkish home cooking. The term generally refers to stuffed vegetables. Traditionally, these are filled with minced meat and rice, but vegetarian versions are also possible. Biber Dolmasi - stuffed peppers - are particularly popular. We were inspired by the delicious Turkish dolma and created our own recipe for stuffed peppers with minced meat.

For the filling we use minced lamb, rice, onions, spices and herbs such as coriander, garlic, mint, paprika powder, cumin, dried chili peppers, salt and pepper. The filling can be supplemented with parsley, tomato paste or paprika paste as desired. The minced lamb, with its unique aroma, harmonizes perfectly with the taste of the peppers and spices.

Our lamb comes from sheep that are pastured all year round and is also Halal certified. If you want to know more about it, we also have a video for you here . You can easily order lamb here in our shop or buy it in our stores .

Here is an overview of the simple preparation of the recipe: First you have to wash the peppers, cut off the top and remove all the seeds. Then mix the ingredients for the filling and fill the peppers with the minced meat mixture. Finally, just put the stuffed peppers in a casserole dish and simmer in the oven or grill over indirect heat for around 25 minutes until they are cooked. We will go into this in more detail in the next section.
