Bratwurst Sandwich
Sandwich with EM Bratwurst - Bratwurst roll reinterpreted
More than just bratwurst and rolls
Putting bratwurst on a roll is quick and easy, but in the long run it's a bit unimaginative, isn't it? If you want a little more variety in your sandwich, then try our recipe. With just a few more ingredients and steps, you can conjure up a delicious and unusual version of the classic. Preparation is very straightforward: First you need a medium-sized carrot, which you peel and cut into even sticks. Then it's time to heat the pan. Fry the carrot sticks in the pan with about 1 tablespoon of oil or a little butter, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and then caramelize with brown sugar. Remove the carrots and then add a few slices of bacon to the pan and fry until crispy. Prepare 2 eggs as fried eggs. When they are ready, take them out of the pan and add the bratwurst . Don't forget to turn them regularly so that they turn golden brown evenly on all sides. Alternatively, you can also prepare the sausage on a grill. Once the sausages are cooked, it's time to add the toppings. For the sauce, mix mustard with mayonnaise. Then halve the bun and spread both halves generously with the mustard-mayonnaise. Then place a few fresh lettuce leaves on top and spread the vegetables on top. Add the eggs and crumble the bacon over them. Finally, add the sausage and fold the sandwich together. Your delicious and hearty snack is ready. Now you can watch the football game in peace.
No limits
Of course, you don't need a football game as an excuse to enjoy this delicious sandwich. After the European Championships, simply swap the EM bratwurst for our Franconian bratwurst . This is a timeless classic and available in our shop at any time. Our Cheesy Gonzales with cheese, Peppadew and jalapenos is also ideal for this recipe. If you want it a little milder, you can use boiled ham instead of bacon . Or, if you don't eat pork, leave it out altogether and replace the EM bratwurst with a lamb bratwurst or beef bratwurst . Even if you don't like meat, you don't have to miss out on this sandwich. Just use our vegetarian bratwurst to make the recipe suitable for vegetarians too.
