INGREDIENTS FOR 2 SERVINGS

4 Franconian sausages 4 pretzel sticks
1 large onion
12 leaves of arugula
4 tablespoons whiskey
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
some butter

For the sauce:
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
two dashes of Worcester sauce

PREPARATION

  1. Prepare the sausages on the grill or in the pan.
  2. Meanwhile, melt a piece of butter in the pan over medium heat and halve and slice the onions. Now add the onions and fry briefly before adding the brown sugar and honey to the pan. Let the onions caramelize in the pan. Now add the whiskey and let it boil away. Then remove the onions from the pan.
  3. For the sauce: Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, barbecue sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl.
  4. Cut the pretzel sticks open and spread the sauce on the inside of the bottom. Finally, place the rocket, the bratwurst and finally the onions in the pretzel stick.
