For optimal storage, we recommend storing between 0 and 4 °C.

Kaminwurzen - Freyberger's calf biter

Our Kaminwurzen, which we have lovingly named Wadenbeißer, is a particularly tasty raw sausage. A distinction is made here between sliceable and spreadable raw sausages. Kaminwurzen, like salami, can be sliced, but also tastes good as a snack that you can just bite into. Spreadable raw sausages include our fine and coarse Mettwurst , as well as our onion Mettwurst .

Storage of our chimney sausages

Our calf biters last a particularly long time because they contain nitrite curing salt. This natural preservative inhibits bacterial growth and keeps our Kaminwurzen crispy and tasty for a particularly long time. As already mentioned, a distinction is made between spreadable and sliceable raw sausages.

Spreadable raw sausage

Spreadable sausages - such as fine , semi-coarse and coarse mettwurst or our onion mettwurst - will keep for several days in the fridge once cut. This is also stated in the guidelines for meat and meat products . So you should not keep our spreadable raw sausages for several weeks.

Sliceable raw sausage: Wadenbeißer

Our range of sliceable raw sausages may be small, but they are all the tastier for it. In addition to our delicious Kaminwurzen, we also offer youfine salami and raw Krakauer , which of course taste excellent. Pack our Wadenbeißer as a snack for your next hike. Sehr lecker

Ich kenne Wadenbeisser schon von anderen Metzgern aber diese hier waren besonders gut abgeschmeckt und damit sehr sehr lecker. Eine Bereicherung beim Vesper!
