Our wild boar goulash will keep for at least 5 days after it arrives at your premises or is picked up, at a maximum temperature of 6°C.
For optimal storage, we recommend storing between 0 and 4 °C.

We source our pork from the Nuremberg metropolitan region. To ensure the best possible quality and guarantee of origin, we slaughter our pigs at our uncle Hans Rössner's in Uehlfeld. He sources the pigs from farmers in his immediate area.

Buy wild boar goulash

Fortunately, wild boars are very rare in Middle Franconia these days - or at least very clever. That's why we don't always have wild boar, or our wild boar goulash, on offer. In addition, we only buy animals in their skins, which we then cut up ourselves. This means we can always guarantee our customers impeccable quality and freshness.

Wild Boar Goulash: Tasty and Healthy

Game is one of the healthiest types of meat. Wild boars live in the wild and feed on what they can find on the forest floors. That is why the meat of these wild animals is of such excellent quality.
We do not source game from driven hunts, as this causes immense stress for the animals. This can affect the quality of the meat, so our hunters rely on stand hunting. As soon as the animals have been shot, they are butchered immediately.
For our wild boar goulash we use meat from the shoulder and the leg. When prepared correctly it is wonderfully tender and, depending on the season, spicier (summer), fruitier (autumn) or milder (winter) in taste. Wild boar, with the exception of young boars and deserters, are no longer protected all year round.
We also source our deer and fawns exclusively from Franconia. We work with hunters based in Nuremberg and regularly travel to the game reserves in the Grafenwöhr region to collect larger quantities of game. This is the only way we can offer you wild boar goulash on a regular basis.

The following animals are hunted in Germany: red deer (e.g. stag), roe deer (deer), wild boar (wild boar), but also hares and birds (such as crows, wild ducks or pheasants). Hunters must ensure that they only hunt game that is in season at the time. Deer may generally only be hunted between May and January. How to prepare wild boar goulash?

The meat for the wild boar goulash is braised, just like any other goulash. We recommend adding a little beer, as this gives the meat a particularly spicy note. Our goulash comes to your home cut and ready to cook, so you can start cooking straight away.
