INGREDIENTS FOR 2 HARRY POTTER BURGERS

300g ground beef
2 burger buns
100 ml strained tomatoes
2 small red onions
1 tomato
2 eggs
250g butter
breadcrumbs
medium-hot mustard
Burger Seasoning
pepper & salt
Sugar

  1. Chop half of the red onions into small cubes with a knife . Cut the other half into rings and set aside.
  2. Now fry the finely chopped onion cubes together with 100g butter in a hot pan until the onions become translucent.
  3. Meanwhile, put the minced meat in a bowl. Now add the eggs, breadcrumbs and tomato puree to the minced meat along with some burger seasoning.
  4. As soon as the onion cubes are translucent, remove them from the pan and add them to the minced meat bowl.
  5. Immediately afterwards, the onion rings are put into the hot pan with the remaining butter and fried until translucent. At the end, add a little sugar to the pan and let the onions caramelize, then put them aside in a separate bowl.
  6. Now mix the ingredients in the bowl with the minced meat. If the mixture is still too loose, add some breadcrumbs and mix well again.
  7. Once the meat dough has a formable consistency, two equal portions are formed, shaped into burger patties and briefly rolled in breadcrumbs.
  8. In the meantime, the remaining butter can be heated in the pan. As soon as it is hot, add the burger patties to the pan.
  9. Once the first side is golden brown (after about 4-9 minutes), reduce the heat so that the butter in the pan does not burn and turn the patties.
  10. While the second side is also golden brown, cut the burger buns and spread mustard on them. If the burger patties are too rare, put them in the oven for about 10 minutes at 120°C top/bottom heat.
  11. Now the burger buns can be topped with the patties, lettuce, tomatoes and caramelized onions.
